Dear Friends; Jesus said, “I have said this to you that in me you might have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (John 16:33). There is much more to life than the loneliness, the boredom, the sense of purposelessness, the suffering, the fear, the anxiety that our troubled world in troubled times has to offer. God loves us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to endure suffering and death on a cross and to be raised again from the dead, that through Him we might have life; abundant and eternal (John 3:16). God, in Jesus Christ, has truly overcome a world of sin and death. With God's presence comes healing and wholeness for our troubled lives. In Him, we become a whole person with a new purpose. At Camp Curtin Memorial-Mitchell United Methodist Church,
this is the victory we celebrate as we Sincerely, John L. Kurtz, Pastor |
